England

After thinking about it and playing around I have decided that from now on I will alternate blog posts with picture posts. Not everyone likes to read words is what I hear. So I will waffle on about our trip and then post pretty pictures separately for your enjoyment. Plus, pictures are quite tricky to post in this blogger thing, well bulk amounts of pictures are. Should have joined wordpress apparently. They have such handsome tech support staff is what I hear.

The flight from Perth to KL and then KL to London (well, Stansted) was with Air Asia who were really good for the price, edible meals and seats that were actually comfortable – I could sit down straight without my knees hitting the seat in front. After flying Tiger Air lately, this is a major coup. Would recommend them to anyone (if anyone from Air Asia would like to pay me to say that, leave a comment on the blog).

Suffolk was the first week of the UK leg. This has mainly constituted visiting gardens, houses, halls, mills, guidhalls and other historic buildings, towns and such. And having lunch in pubs called the crown or the anchor or the swan or one of ten other highly original names.

One of the towns we visited was Cambridge. Oh to be a student there on my bicycle. Fantastic.

Doesn’t feel like we are on holidays yet, though I walked past someone sitting in an office in front of a computer and felt a bit better about it all. I’m sure it will sink in properly in a month when we are trudging along the Camino.
